Armorcast Era Revenant / Shade Titan

Well it's a 3D print version of the same, but as close as I'm ever likely to get. I'm currently printing a couple, one with the classic weapon opens, and one with the revised set from this creator. I'll be adding some Apocalypse 2019 rules for them, but listing them as 'Shade' titans rather than  confuse the issue with old and new names being the same. Look for those rules appearing over on the other blog.

Here's the first one finished, with alternative armament options. I'm still debating which secondary gun to fit, Shuriken Cannon or Multilaser? This one will be getting my Mai-Bai scheme, whilst the classic will be Alaitoc. Some of the bigger parts were done on my new Elegoo Saturn 2, which is great for these bigger pieces.

40k Containers - Man in a box? We'll see!

Since my friend King Fluff is getting out of the events business, he's selling off a lot of his scenery and I was lucky enough to be able to get some of his containers for use at Barnhammer. All credit to him for the building and painting.

Scarab - Jailbreak

For Barnhammer, I find myself needing some Police Cruiser type vehicles. Reading through sources online, I find the Arbites or Enforcers have a vehicle called a Scarab, with a remotely operated Stubber.

I had a go at remixing it. Using the heavy Stubber from the Not Arbites I've been posting over the last few days, a turret I found online and some of the bits I made for the Arbites tanks, I came up with this:

The Sentinel

 Or rather 6 of them!

These were purchased online, and then I have digitally remodelled the pilot to be headless. This means using some left over heads I can make 3 Arbites Sentinels, and ultimately 3 Genestealer Cultist ones to drive the Lifters. The Arbites ones are awaiting guns - I think as these will be custom rule jobs, I'll let them have Heavy Bolters like the old Elysian ones.

Warlock Titan - first steps

After indulging in a buying a few big STLs, I found I needed a bigger printer. Hence a load of stuff has gone onto Ebay: board games, old 40k books, Warhammer Quest (incomplete), all my Warmachine, Old Blood Bowl and some old models kits. I've now ordered an Elegoo Saturn 2, which is 8k resolution and a much bigger printing bed. I'll let you know how it goes when it arrives. In the  meantime, the very old Anycubic Photon has been packed up, ready to go to a friend to get him started, and my Photon Mono has been working to print the smaller parts of these larger models. First out of the gate we have a Warlock titan head - you can guess what's following! The Sentinel cab is just for scale. The two fins are the leg fins for a Phantom, and since mine only had some the I designed, and was never happy with, these will be modified and grafted onto my Phantom before it gets it's paint repaired.

 Last few, honestly! Yes I'm sick of them too, but eventually I have to paint them!

Genestealer Hybrids from Deathwatch Overkill

In my war on unbuilt models, driven by my desire to rid myslef of sprues before I moved, I pulled out my copy of Deathwatch Overkill from a few years back, and blitzed through the models. Here are the Genestealer Hybrids - apologies for some of the photos, done late on in the day and I was very tired!

Two of these are bolter troops, one even has an old metal bolter from the earlier models. The final model is on a 25 rather than 28mm base, a different aerial and IG arms, as I built him as a squad leader for an Imperial Guard Penal unit for my original army, the Lavuran Guard  (I found the original model had gone walkabout). 

Maugan Ra

 I found an STL for a scan of the old Maugan Ra, and was using a modified version of his cannon for my Corsairs. I did a quick print of the original and stuck it on an old 40mm base I made back in Canada - casino chip base. I have no idea what was on this base originally, but presumably it needed something bigger due to a GW base upscaling.

Arbites Castigator - Beyond the Law

Inspired by an article in Citadel Journal 23, where Steve Hambrook made a converted Castigator Rhino (a mashup of really old Immolator bits, Rogue Trader era Rhino, Leman Russ tank and Arbites figure), I decided to build a more modern version. Taking a regular Rhino kit, I added some 3d printed panels from the Repressor, used one of my lightbars then scronged around for suitable turret parts. With a bit of tweaking, I stole some parts from a counts as Genestealer Cult truck  STL, a webber STL and an IG gun shield STL. The figure (not glued in currently) was recycled from a failed print, where the legs had not printed properly.

Corsairs - almost there!

Almost at the end of the Corsairs! Since after doing 30 Void Reavers and 10 Void Scarred for close assault and the same number of rifle armed squads, I decided to build the last 24 models as Guardian analogues (plus 4 HQ characters) - given my custom Craftworld is basically a pirate haven it makes sense for some of the troops to be outfitted with Guardian equipment. You've already seen many of the Corsairs wear Guardian helmets, so I'll need to create some fiction to explain all this in due time. I decided to do a squad with Catapults and one as Storm Guardians with close assault weapons. This means two of my Corsair detachments in our Apocalypse game will be:

Void Prince (Autarch)

Void Dreamer (Farseer)

1 x Void Scarred

3 x Void Reavers

1 x Guardians 

Plus transports as needed.

Onto the models:

Last 4 Void Reavers with sword and pistol and one with Wraith Cannon.

Last 4 rifle armed Reavers

First 8 Storm Guardians

I'm waiting for the post to complete the 2 Flamers for the guardians as well as arms to complete some Reaver Felarchs.
