Direwolf Titan

A 3D print of an early STL, scaled up a bit to match the Warhounds, although I'm not really happy with the dimensions. There's a better version of the file out there now, but I was already most of the way through printing this when I found it.

Nightcrawler, you know he's coming back!

You may recall the little disaster in May when the Warhound (Nox Serpens) melted (https://fortwargame.blogspot.com/2024/05/titanic-set-back.html). Well as of today, just like Lt. Dan he has new legs!

I had hoped to be sharing a picture of this, but with a completed base.

 

Instead, after a day in a not that warm room, the knees had melted (it's PLA printed) and then shattered once the top pitched forward - I was left with this:

PLA is hard to glue without lots of infill, so I was just going to bin the whole thing as the legs are one piece and were twisted and broken. Luckily my friend 'Fluff' Ben told me about a super glue remover he uses, with it I was able to remove the legs from the pelvis and feet! I've started printing the new legs, this time in resin!

It took me two years to get to having this almost done, let's hope rework is a little quicker!

Dire Wolf WIP #1

There's some paint on this one! I have the full kit printed, just need to do some brush work before I start gluing it all together. As with my other titans, the scheme is Heresy era Legio Mortis. This will be making it's way to Apocalypticon too.
