Just sharing what I took to my last event, when I went 1 and 3. I beat Chaos Knights, but got taken to the cleaners by my friend's Black Templars, Ork and then my other friend's Iron Hands (I always lose to Steve).
The list is a little suboptimal as I was painting for a list to last for as long as possible without needing lots of additional units. With my wedding soon approaching, I won't have time to add more stuff before the team event in July, so I based this list around details of the forthcoming CSM dex. For instance, I left the Fast Attack slots empty, so the Venomcrawlers can be moved into them, likewise I had enough Marine units for 3 cultists. Given I didn't do as well as I hoped, I'm thinking of making a few changes but hopefully using units I have done, or nearly done e.g. Leviathan dreadnought or so better melee troops.
