 Christmas is almost on us! So here's some more festivity, and some more Orks! Again, pesudo Vietnam themed with a mix of Spellcrow, Fox Box/Ramshackle, GW and Mekka Miniatures parts.

IW Dreadnought again

I managed to score another Space Crusade dreadnought on Ebay a while back. I finally got the old paint off it, and have started to rebuild it for my Heresy Iron Warriors.

Mekboy Gargant Pt1.

Since I've had a little bit more free time, I've managed to get the Ender 5 working again - the 3 refused to start properly with a broken microswitch. That's on order, while in the meanwhile the 5 is buys cranking out a Mekboy Gargant. Posed here next to a Stompa I'm doing an Ebay rescue job on, it'll be on the table top using the Kustom Stompa rules. Gun and chainsword arms, and a Lifta-Droppa on the hydraulic arm.

I have a couple of Slasha Gargants sliced and ready to print, but they are behind a second Skullhamma.

Orks for 30k Part 3

Here are some of the infantry I'm hoping to use for the 30k Orks (but with a few additions can work for 40k).

First squad is GI in 'Nam themed, mix of Fox Box (from Ramshackle) and Mekka Miniatures printed parts. The M60 is a digital kitbash of AgentSmith99's one from his Huey kits, with some old Ork arms.

Second are some VC Orks. Again Mekka Miniatures STLs with digitally kitbashed heads and RPG.

More Mekka Minitures files with some GW arms.

Same STLa but with Spellcrow heads and old Fox Box guns, and some GW bits.

A couple of the packs had misprints, so I did some repair work to make some custom versions.

Old School Dreadnought - Eddy

Sometime last year I printed several upscaled RT era dreadnoughts - but near shared them on here as far as I can remember. Recently I came across the last one I made, which was unfinished due to not have an appropriate weapon to match the original loadouts. The original STL files had a Lascannon, which gave the Fury variant. Reversing the supplied bolter arm had gave the Chuck pattern, but the Eddy was beyond my modelling skills. Thinking about what I could repurpose, I rescaled a Whirlwind launcher half, and made a mount that fitted the shoulder I had already. I was never a fan of the styling on the original launcher anyway, so I feel this completes my set. I also have one with an assault cannon, but I'll share images of those when I get paint on them.

 

Orks for 30k Part 2

My usual Orks are Blood Axe, and my 30K variety are no exception. Using some of AgentSmith99's Ork Hueys from Cults3d, I'm starting on an Air Cav theme for the main part of my force.

IW Rhino WIP

I finally managed to print this STL - it's a bear due to the tracks breaking. Combined with the other failures I had, a few extra prints and I have a full wreck to use as terrain!

Ork 'Eavy Bomma

 Another 3d printing project, from Geargutz Mekshop. I'm just waiting to get some paint on it before adding all the bombs. I had quite a bit of problem with the resin breaking - which led to me making some terrain with failed parts, so there's a lot of Greenstuff  'welds' to hold it all together. Also I took to adding some details, like the 'teef and the detail on the rear end of the fuselage.

Orks for 30k Part 1

No updates for ages again - life is crazy busy and I haven't gamed since July! What I have been doing is preparing for one of King Fluff's events in January - another one of his Xenocide events. I'll be taking some Iron Warriors and some Orks using his 30k fandex for them.

I don't think I'll be using him now, but a print of a not-Ghazghul to use as a Primeork someday.

Selonian Explorer

For those with good memories, way back we had some figures sculpted for Star Wars RPG sessions, and one of those was a female Selonian. As luck would have it, we now have a player wanting such a figure for her explorer, so I have put a coat of paint on one of my examples.

Odo Kuro - Huge!

The last pieces of my Forbidden Fortress Kickstarter have finally arrived, and I have started assembling the huge Odo Kuro monster! It's a behemoth, here he is with a Space Marine for scale!

Sons of Horus Reavers Completed

I finally got these finished a few weeks back, ready for King Fluff's Cataclysm of Iron IV event. Which was a great time time, and I got to meet a load of new people, as well as see some familiar faces from previous years.

Plagueburst Crawler WIP

3d printed Plagueburst Crawler, found on Thingiverse, then tweaked with some remixed bits, Nurgle details and Greenstuff. Last detail is a small shield covering the hydraulics under the gun, then paint time!

Drukhari Knight WIP

 This was a STL model I bought from Heresy Labs - I intend to use it as an Eldar Knight with my Drukhari. I won't be using the shield, which actually misprinted anyway, but something more suitable for the dark kin. The sword will come from the usual Wraith knight kit.

Reavers WIP

I've started building a few Reavers, these are the Mark 4 ones, built as per the supplied parts. I still need to hot water bend the axes. I've made some 3d printed ones, not shown, have jump packs and Volkites, I'll add them up here shortly.

'Dabnought' finished

I have now got the last few bits done on the Dabnought.

I've been working a few things for my Sons of Horus, which will be my first GW army in use out of lock down!

Dabs the 'dabbing' dreadnought - painting almost done

Damocles Rhino, with Sons of Horus doors that I remixed myself from items on Thingiverse, and a radar dish I found on the same site.

Eldar Power Generator

 Another 3D model I found on Thingiverse years ago, combined with a crystal also found there. It printed roughly quite a while back, but I've finally got it painted and based.
