First 8th Orky

First fully painted 'British' Ork. I'm not sure if the helmets will go to black for the rest, like my other Blood Axes, or stay grey like this chap. Obvious a mix, 3d printed bits, Fox Box/Ramshackle missile launcher and head from probably Kromlech. The knife arm is actually an old WHFB GW bit!

 

'Ard Boyz

Sadly these aren't in 40k any more, so they're just Choppa boyz now. These are obviously a mix of a load of different bits, but I assembled them just to help clear the large plastic tub of Ork shame...

Big Mek/Mecha Nob?

 Another Ork that I built the other week - several leftovers from GW, Foxbox and old Kromlech. I think he needs to go on a 40mm now for a Big Mek, so I'll need to either print him a base expander, or make him the Nob for a unit of Mecha-Orks..

Original Ork Inspiration

I made this Ork the other day from a mixture of GW, Fox Box and 3d printed parts. I modelled him (as a Mek) as it reminded me of one of the first White Dwarf magazines that I owned (#119), where some similar styled Orks were on the cover.  Christmas is almost on us! So here's some more festivity, and some more Orks! Again, pesudo Vietnam themed with a mix of Spellcrow, Fox Box/Ramshackle, GW and Mekka Miniatures parts.

Orks for 30k Part 3

Here are some of the infantry I'm hoping to use for the 30k Orks (but with a few additions can work for 40k).

First squad is GI in 'Nam themed, mix of Fox Box (from Ramshackle) and Mekka Miniatures printed parts. The M60 is a digital kitbash of AgentSmith99's one from his Huey kits, with some old Ork arms.

Second are some VC Orks. Again Mekka Miniatures STLs with digitally kitbashed heads and RPG.

More Mekka Minitures files with some GW arms.

Same STLa but with Spellcrow heads and old Fox Box guns, and some GW bits.

A couple of the packs had misprints, so I did some repair work to make some custom versions.

Cultists - more WIP

Since the last photo back in June I think it was, I've started doing the bases on these guys. I've also added another 10, plus an extra champion, so I can split the unit of 30 into 2.

There's a number of different makes in there. I also needed some extra close combat cultists, so I extended the look of these to make a unit of trench diggers - these are to support my Iron Warriors. A mix of Anvil bits, Cadians and old Chaos Marauder bits.

I also needed a handful of cultists to fill out the squads made from GW figures, so here's a mix of Anvil/old Miniatures of the North, GW Flagellants, a Ramshackle head and more 3D printed autopistols.
