Titanic set back!

I had hoped to be sharing a picture of this, but with a completed base.

 

Instead, after a day in a not that warm room, the knees had melted (it's PLA printed) and then shattered once the top pitched forward - I was left with this:

PLA is hard to glue without lots of infill, so I was just going to bin the whole thing as the legs are one piece and were twisted and broken. Luckily my friend 'Fluff' Ben told me about a super glue remover he uses, with it I was able to remove the legs from the pelvis and feet! I've started printing the new legs, this time in resin!

It took me two years to get to having this almost done, let's hope rework is a little quicker!

Apothecarion Rhino

Found this STL online and printed 2 versions, which when combined with some GW Rhinos have provided my Iron Warriors with an 'ambulance' and my Salamanders with an assault Razorback - pics in the far future!

 

Castellan Rhino #1 Complete

First Castellan to have a full paint job - while painting I realised I've fitted the Havoc launcher backwards - oh well! I should say the weapon fit is for 40k, so if I use it in 30k it's Havoc or Combi-weapon.

Managed to get all the bits for these printed, and the failed pieces filled with Greenstuff. Some of the details are my own creation, the rest are digital kitbashes.

Iron Warriors Rhino done

I had my good friend Ben over last weekend for my first game of 10th ed which was awesome. The game feels very different, but since I'm so out of touch, it could be I'm just getting mixed up with older editions as to when particular things became non issues. Anyway, it was good to throw down my Iron Warriors against his Grey Knights. We played a stripped down game, and learned a lot. We also got some painting done, Ben did a cracking job on one of my Slaaneshi knights - I'll share photos once I've finished the base and I got one and a half Rhinos done - here's a small video of the first.

Pleasure all Knight!

I need more knights to support the Iron Warriors, and Evanogainen has released a proxy for the Hellknight. I've built two as per the supplied files, and customised a third to look more like one of the Epic 40k originals, photos of that later. Note both of these are missing a thigh armour piece, for some reason these were detached in the STL, so need to be glued in place later. I've also assembled another 2 Hellstriders - two like the last pair but resin printed, with better legs, and 2 with a different gun, again more like the original Epic ones.

Hevonen AA Trailer - WIP

Here's my attempt to add something to the Hevonen legacy - an AA trailer. It's still WIP as I haven't made the gun mounts yet - I'm thinking quad Stubbers or twin Heavy Bolter as a Sabre platform. I like the former as this is really inspired by the WW2 M15 Maxon mount, albeit with a much simpler mount. The pin thing is an overly long prototype for one of the 4 legs that mount underneath, and can be modelled in a deployed position with the wheels off the ground.

Mighty Auroch Transporter

 I printed out Toasty Britches Auroch trailer and 5th wheel conversion piece to make this awesome unit. I should note this is only for the original scaled Auroch. I had issues printing the trailer - it warped like hell, hence the ugly join.
