Future Tyranid Plans?

Whilst packing up stuff, I found a load of Tyranid arms - mostly for Termagants. I went online and found some STLs for these little chaps, and printed a few to use with these spare arms - and then I found they had old school Spike Rifles, so added a few of those too! Not doing anything much with these for now, just building a block of armless models, to eventually unite with the arms now in storage, and some to fill out a unit of Spike Rifles to go with my old metal ones.

Hive Tyrant - based

Not a new figure, and not even one I painted (this is my dirty secret, most of my 'Nids were outsourced ;) ) but he's now sporting some base texture, so he's posing for photos!

Spores are back!

Well sort of, the new 'Nid Tyrannocyte fills the role of a drop pod (actually more like the Dreadclaw in that it can move ). Either way, I really need to get a move on and finish these pods, that my friend Linton made for me just before I left Canada - the right one was designed to fit into a crater, but will now need some rework to base it for these new rules.

Genestealer Cult Limo

It's completed by the time you read this, but this photo is from a WIP stage - I'm having to show these much later than they were completed as they are being used as a nasty surprise in our Ramde event!

It's an ICM WW2 Opel car kit in 1/35 with some gun barrels added at the front. It's a little large for 40k but does mean Purestrains or a Patriarch could fit inside.

Genestealer Cultists

I've wanted an excuse to use Miniatures of the North's House Crowmantia figures for something - well I found it, some Genestealer cultists! The group I play with has their own mini-dex to use these old favourites in the current game, but essentially the rules are those for the Chaos Cultists. I can and will of course use these guys to bulk out my Chaos armies too when needed so it's a double win!

Since I took these photos I've done some more work on the bases and highlighted the flesh.

I had one extra cultist so I painted him up in a different colour and will use him as my Magus!

'fawsends of 'em!!!

I've finally got around to getting my 'Nids under way as I really want them ready for the new codex. Since I'm knee deep in Orks for our big game in November I sent these over to Three Colours Minimum as Graham there had done a really nice scheme on his own army. I've gone with a similar style to his army, but with yellow and green instead of his blue and purple, but at his suggestion, I've gone with some purple claws to liven things up a bit more.

Here are the shots of the first batch of Hormagaunts he's finished, and a big gribbly beast too! I'll be completing the bases myself once I've decided what scheme to use for these guys. This is the first time I've paid to have an army painted, and I'm very happy with the results. If you fancy commissioning for from TCM, checkout the website:

Focus is a bit messed up on these two images, so just look at the different focal points and pretend it is one nice photo! ;)
