Blood Pact Ogryns - Progressing

Bullgryns are out and I'm still stuck completing my Ogryns - oh well! I've got the green stuff out and finished patching the edges of the rucksacks (where I had to cut them to get them to fit and went a bit too far) and also added some side straps for the packs. The Bone'ed still needs arms etc but at least he now has shoes which is a step forward (see what I did there?), these were fashioned from plasticard and green stuff as I didn't have any kit ones left.

A while back I mentioned the Full Borer artillery officer, well here he is given the Blood Pact treatment and a coat of red paint (just a Maxmini head).

And now for something a bit odd - an unmodified figure in my army! It's one of Curious Constructs' renegade psyker models. Since the Khorne loving Pact wouldn't really use proper warp wielders, he's just another Blood Mage, no doubt using the new power's we're supposed to be getting in 7th Ed to pop daemons onto the the table (Bloodthirsters of course!).

AT-70 Anarchist Pattern Part 2 - PIP

Whilst painting the AT-70 Anarchist pattern I had some extra red paint, so I sprayed this little fellow - a Blight Wheel Miniatures Goliath, which will be used as a Cyclops demolition vehicle from the IA rules. Painting is almost done, just some tidying up to do and then add some weathering powders.

Anarchist Pattern AT-70

Wow, it's been ages since the last update. Well I have the keys to the new house, but still can't live there - floor repairs needed, complete rewire and thus a replaster which are all ongoing. Even with all these issues I have managed to finally snag one day for some model making work, and I've started on another count-as Russ.

I still have one Reaver pattern to complete (using a LR hull and turret) to go with the 2 I have already, but to keep consistency, I'm using that hull style for the variants with the 10 rear armour. For those with 11 (i.e. those buildable from the Demolisher kit) I'm using Anarchy Models' tank hull and Kromlech turrets. Given the new dex gives us Tank Commanders, and Pask who's a bit good riding a Punisher I decided to have a crack at that type first.

The turret and hull have been modified to accept magnets so that the turret is removable. The turret hatch has been drilled out to accept my Blood Pact rendition of Pask - just need to order some bits to complete him. I've still to add the turret details supplied by Kromlech, but I'm waiting to add the commander first. I'm also planing on adding some stage to tank, plus some extra styrene pieces to the align the Anarchists with the Reavers (brigde plate, vent, tool box etc).

Not dead yet!

No, not at all, just burned out with 40k at the moment. I did manage to get 4000 points of Orks done for the game last month and after that I just crashed. I will upload the photos of the last few Ork items in due course, but everything is being packed up at the moment for the impending house move.

When I look back over the year I've just had, which was pretty awful for a number of reasons, I still managed to use the time to complete 6000pts worth of 40k - I think that's impressive! I started the year noodling about with several Blood Pact projects (Thudd Guns and Sabre Platforms) which I completed in the summer along with some more halftracks (about 500 points worth). In the Spring I built and painted 1500pts of Necrons for a tournament, and then in the autumn added that huge amount of Orks - hence the 6k.

I've been working on some items for other games that I will post up in the new year, along with my plans for which armies I intend to complete over the next 12 months (one will be my 13th Co. Space Wolves). I really want to be more structured in my approach to completing things in 2014 and I'm hoping some new dedicated hobby space will help!
